Visit a Castle of the Knights, Asklepeion and enjoy walking through the picturesque streets with beautiful buildings in the Grecian style.
The boat leaves Bodrum at around 9 am. On arrival, at the harbor, you’ll find guided tours of Kos Island and taxis to travel around available. But the best option is to explore the island on your own as the most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance from the harbour.
You may walk through the picturesque streets of Kos with beautiful buildings, cafes and shops in the Grecian style, sample local authentic Greek dishes and local goods & handicrafts. There are so many historical sights and ancient ruins to explore: 14th century Castle of the Knights, numerous temples, mosaics, amphitheatre, Acropolis, Roman baths, etc. The major attraction of the island is Asklepion - one of the largest and oldest healing centers of the ancient world.
Did you know that Kos is also a birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of medicine? Just behind the castle, there is a famous tree of Hippocrates. According to the legend, Hippocrates taught his students the art of medicine under the shadow of this plane tree.
After all, now we suggest you relax on the warm sandy beaches and enjoy calm waters of the Aegean sea. Well, we know time flies when you have fun. Make sure to be back at the harbor for the ferry departure time 4 pm.
