Discover the darker side of London as you learn about the terrors, mysteries, and shocks that rippled through the city during the time of Jack the Ripper. Experience legends and ghostly myths as well as grisly true-life stories of public hangings and torture from times gone by as you explore by bus and on foot.
Your expert guide will explain how the executions happened, legends & tales across the darkened streets of London while you sit in the vintage bus. You will travel to the Old Bailey - the site of numerous public hanging, Wallace Plaque, where William Wallace was tortured, hear tales of Mrs Lovett’s pie shop with her speciality fillings and more.
Then, we walk through a deserted Smithfield market and the surrounding streets. You will want to stay close to your guide while you learn of the 19th-century body snatchers, follow the paths trodden by Jack the Ripper himself. Walk in his footsteps, inspecting the murder sites and deciphering the evidence - who was Jack the Ripper?
Finally, join us in the warmth of the Sherlock Holmes Pub. The pub also hosts a wide collection of the investigator's memorabilia, and consider staying on for a drink or a bite to eat. The tour ends around 9:30 pm at the Sherlock Holmes pub which is situated close to Trafalgar Square.
